4- YOUR DETECTOR
Description of your detector (figure G : Device description) and the equipment supplied
(figure H : Equipment supplied).
> 1: Red LED
> 2: Locking PIN location
> 3: Fastening bracket
> 4: Locking PIN
5- FASTENING THE SDA
Tooling required (figure I : Tools necessary) and unit fastening (figure J : Fastening the SDA):
>a - Draw a 50mm horizontal line where you wish to install the alarm.
>b - Remove the locking PIN from the fastening bracket.
>c - Align the fastening bracket on the two screw holes along the line.
>d - Draw a mark in each hole to mark the location of the boreholes.
During drilling, move the detector away to prevent dust from penetrating it.
>d - Insert the pegs in the boreholes.
>e - Screw the 2 screws supplied to fasten the bracket.
>f - Insert the batteries.
For the X5 model:
Insert the battery into the battery compartment while ensuring the polarities
are correct.
The red LED flashes once. For the
X10 model
: The sealed battery requires no particular handling
Caution! The detector cannot be fastened if the battery is not installed properly. Lithium
batteries may explode when connected improperly.
>g - Align the tabs on the fastening bracket with the detector and clip it into the bracket.
>h - Turn the detector clockwise to fit it in place.
>i - Place the locking pin onto the detector.
Gently pull the detector to check it is fastened properly to its bracket.
