VGA HD AV Cable to connect your Xbox 360 console
to your VGA CRT, LCD, or HDTV monitor, including PC monitors. The cable also connects
to analog audio amplifiers. It is for use exclusively with the Xbox 360 video game and
entertainment system.

ConneCt YouR VGA HD AV CAble
Use your VGA HD AV cable to connect your console to a monitor and an audio system.

Stationary images in video games can “burn” into some TV screens, creating a permanent
shadow. Consult your TV owner’s manual or manufacturer before playing games.
To connect your console to a monitor and audio:

Turn off your console.

Connect the AV connector on the VGA cable to the AV port on the console.

Connect the VGA connector on the VGA cable to the VGA input on your monitor.

Your monitor may not have a VGA input. If not, you may need to purchase additional
equipment. For further information, go to www.xbox.com/support.

Connect the left and right (white and red) audio connectors on the VGA cable to the
audio input on your monitor (if equipped), receiver, or amplified speaker system.

Turn on your console. From the
system
area, you can change your display settings.
Select the appropriate screen size and resolution for your monitor.

If you encounter problems, try the possible solutions indicated below.

Turn on the monitor. Try resetting your display settings. Remove any disc from the disc
tray and turn off your console. Then press and hold the Xbox Guide button on player
one’s controller to turn the console back on.As it starts up, press and hold the Y button
while pulling the right trigger. Your console will return to its default display settings.
picture with no sound
Make sure the video and audio connectors are connected to the same input group on the
back of your monitor. If you’re using a separate receiver or amplifier, make sure the unit is
turned on.
sound with no picture
Verify that your monitor is turned on. Check your connections and make sure your
monitor has been set to display video from the port into which the VGA cable is plugged.
