Check the following fields to ensure proper communication:
•
Press the button under the word "TYPE". If "TYPE" does not change to "ser", continue to
press the same button until it does read "ser".
•
Press the left-most button to continue.
•
Press the button under the word "BAUD". If "BAUD" does not change to "1200", continue
to press the same button until it does read "1200".
•
Press the button under the word "HAND". If "HAND" does not change to "xon", continue to
press the same button until it does read "xon".
•
If the last word on the display, "axmt", is spelled in all capital letters, press the button be-
neath "AXMT" until the word changes from capital letters to lower case letters.
•
Press the left-most button to continue.
•
Press the button under the word "DLIM". If "DLIM" does not change to "crlf", continue to
press the same button until it does read "crlf".
•
Press the two left-most buttons at the same time to save these configuration settings.
Sending Data to the Printer
After reading an auto scannable test strip the DTP will automatically display your readings.
Use the up or down arrows to view the separate reading of each strip. Use the right most but-
ton to toggle between different strips if you scanned more than one strip. Pressing the button
under the word "xmit" will transmit your data to the Seiko printer. The word will temporarily
change to all capitals and the Seiko will begin printing your output.
