POWER-PROTECT LED’s
Two LED’s, one lit green
in normal operating mode, or when the amplifier is
switched on by remote signal. The other LED is lit red
when a faulty connection or internal malfunction is
detected by the protection circuitry.
L-CH & R-CH LINE OUT
One pair of output
sockets – loop through option - to drive an additional
amplifier without the need of a Y-adapter. The L-CH
and R-CH line outputs are the sum of the line input
signals fed to 1-CH & 3-CH and 2-CH & 4-CH.
SPEAKER OUTPUT TERMINAL 3-CH&4-CH
Speaker terminal to connect the positive (“+”) and
negative (“-“) speaker wires of channels 3&4 to the
amplifier. Note: The positive (“+”) terminal of channel
3-CH and the negative (“-“) terminal of channel 4-CH
provide the bridged output of the channel pair 3-CH &
4-CH! The load impedance may vary between 1 to 4
ohms per channel, or – consequently – 2 to 4 ohms in
bridged operation mode.
SPEAKER OUTPUT TERMINAL 1-CH&2-CH
Speaker terminal to connect the positive (“+”) and
negative (“-“) speaker wires of channels 1&2 to the
amplifier. Note: The positive (“+”) terminal of channel
1-CH and the negative (“-“) terminal of channel 2-CH
provide the bridged output of the channel pair 1-CH &
2-CH! The load impedance may vary between 1 to 4
ohms per channel, or – consequently - 2 to 4 ohms in
bridged operation mode.
GND
Power terminal for the connection of the
amplifier to the chassis ground or the negative pole of
the car battery.
REM
Remote terminal (switching contact) for the
automatic (remote) turn-on / turn-off of the power
amplifier from the head-unit’s remote lead (or antenna
control lead).
BATT +12V
+ 12 V power terminal for the connection
of the amplifier to the positive pole of the car battery.
FUSE
Internal fuses, 2 x 40 Ampere ATC to pro-
tect the power supply circuitry of the XP600.4 ampli-
fier.
LEVEL
Input gain adjustment knob to
adjust/match the input gain of channels 3-CH&4-CH to
the incoming line-out signal from the head unit. The
input level stage accepts input voltages between 0,2V
to 9V.
SUBSONIC
Subsonic frequency control knob to
adjust the integrated 12 dB/oct. subsonic highpass fil-
ter of channels 3-CH&4-CH. Allows the setting of the
desired subsonic highpass frequency between 10 Hz
and 50 Hz. The subsonic highpass filtering option is
only active, when the 3&4-CH X-OVER switch is set to
LOW PASS (LOW).
HIGH PASS
Highpass frequency control knob to
adjust the integrated 12 dB/oct. highpass filter of
channels 3&4-CH, when the slide-switch of 3&4-CH
X-OVER is set to HI (highpass) mode. Allows the set-
ting of the required highpass frequency between 40
Hz and 200 Hz.
3&4-CH X-OVER
Input mode selector of the inte-
grated active crossover, controlling the channels 3&4-
CH. The slide switch allows to set the crossover of
channel 3&4-CH to highpass (HI), fullrange (FULL), or
lowpass (LOW) operating mode.
LOW PASS
Lowpass frequency control knob to
adjust the integrated 12 dB/oct. lowpass filter of chan-
nels 3&4-CH, when the slide-switch of 3&4-CH X-OVER is
set to LOW (lowpass) mode. Allows the setting of the
required lowpass frequency between 35 Hz and 200 Hz.
LEVEL
Input gain adjustment knob to
adjust/match the input gain of channels 1&2-CH to the
incoming signal from the head unit. The input level
stage accepts input voltages between 0,2V to 9V.
SUBSONIC
Subsonic frequency control knob to
adjust the integrated 12 dB/oct. highpass subsonic
filter of channels 1&2-CH. Allows the setting of the desi-
red highpass frequency between 10 Hz and 50 Hz. The
subsonic highpass filtering option is only active, when
the 1&2-CH X-OVER switch is set to LOW PASS (LOW)
HIGH PASS
Highpass frequency control knob to
adjust the integrated 12 dB/oct. highpass filter of
channels 1&2-CH, when the slide-switch of the 1&2-
CH X-OVER is set to HI (highpass) mode. Allows the
setting of the required highpass frequency between
40 Hz and 200 Hz.
1&2-CH X-OVER
Input mode selector of the inte-
grated active crossover, controlling the channels 1&2-
CH. The slide switch allows to set the crossover of
channels 1&2-CH to highpass (HI), fullrange (FULL), or
lowpass (LOW) operating mode.
LOW PASS
Lowpass frequency control knob to
adjust the integrated 12 dB/oct. lowpass filter of
channels 1&2-CH, when the slide-switch of the 1&2-
CH X-OVER is set to LP (lowpass) mode. Allows the
setting of the required lowpass frequency between
40 Hz and 200 Hz.
