Not all of the accessories illustrated or described are included
as standard delivery.
Intended Use
The tool is intended for the deforming and bonding
plastic, for removal of paint coatings and for
heat-shrinking of sleeves. It is also suitable for sol-
dering and tinning, for loosening of glued connec-
tions and for thawing of water lines.
For damage caused by usage other then intended,
the user is responsible.
Initial operation
Always use the correct supply voltage:
The power
supply voltage must match the information quoted
on the tool identification plate.
HLG 1800/HLG 2000:
Switching On / Off (cool air – hot air)
The On/Off switch

has 3 settings:
Cool air position, blower stage I
Hot air position I, blower stage II
Hot air position II, blower stage III
In the cool air position, the unit is suitable for cooling
down a heated workpiece, the hot air gun itself, or
for drying paint.
Adjusting the Temperature
HLG 1800:
The hot air temperature is preset in both
hot air positions and cannot be adjusted.
Hot air position I: 400 °C
Hot air position II: 600 °C
HLG 2000:
With the infinite temperature control

the temperature can be adjusted from 50 - 600 °C
in both hot air positions. The scale

can be used for
guidance:
Setting 1: Temperature approx. 50 °C
Setting 9: Temperature approx. 600 °C
In the cool air position, the temperature cannot be
adjusted.
