Troubleshooting tips
Fault Possible cause Remedy
The mains plug is connected
to the mains. The mains plug is
switched on, but its light does
not illuminate.
Problem in the mains supply Check the mains supply.
The welding power is too low. Too high voltage drop in the mains
supply.
Cable is wound up.
Increase the conductor cross section
of the workshop mains cable (for
lengths > 15 m, a conductor cross
section of 3 x 4 mm² is required).
Unwind cable or cable drum.
The mains fuse blows. Mains power is too low. Use a slow fuse after checking with
an expert. Check the mains supply.
You pressed the key on the
welding tool. The background
colour of the tool symbol does
not change from white to blue
on the display 1 .
There is a break in the control circuit. Check plug connection.
Check control lead.
Check microswitch.
Thermostat protection
The device is equipped with thermostat protection. If the device overheats, a message is output to the
display

Once the device has cooled and is again ready for use, the message automatically disappears.
