Assembly
The installation must comply with the
local regulations on the laying of
pipework systems.
Only the backflow preventers
approved for the particular installation
may be used.
A pressure indicator must be installed on existing
shut-off elements which complies with the applicable
regulations on the laying of pipework systems.
Note
Any number of dosing units can be
combined.
Preparation
■
Remove the two locking screws [2] of the cover.
■
Remove the cover of the metering unit housing.
■
If several metering units are combined:
• Remove plug [14] from all metering units
with the exception of the last metering unit.
• Connect the inlet ports of upline units to the
hose connectors [3] of the downline units.
■
Hold the metering unit on the mounting surface
and mark the position of the mounting holes [5]
for the mounting screws.
Two mounting screws are sufficient for up to four
interconnected metering units.
■
For wall mounting, drill holes of 6 mm diameter
at the marked points and insert the dowels
included in the scope of supply.
■
For mounting on a wooden surface, drill holes
of 3 mm diameter at the marked points.
■
Insert the mounting screws (included in the scope
of supply) through the mounting holes [5] .
■
Secure the metering unit.
■
Fit the cover and secure with the locking
screws [2] .
■
Remove the hose connector [3] .
■
Apply liquid sealant to the thread of the hose
connector.
■
Connect the water supply hose to the hose
connector [3] .
The connection can be freely selected by ex -
changing the plug and hose connector.
■
Tighten the hose connector finger-tight.
■
Tighten the hose connector a further 1 1/2
turns.
Initial Use
Ensure that the technical data of the
device are not exceeded.
Set the Metering Rate
The metering rate is set via the appropriate measur-
ing probe.
■
Screw the appropriate measuring probe [7]
into the inlet port [6] (selection, see table).
Connect the Metering Medium
■
Position the drum with the metering medium
max. 1.80 m below the metering unit (large
differences in height impair the injection behav-
iour).
■
Push ceramic weight [9] onto inlet hose [8] .
■
Insert the inlet hose with foot valve and ceramic
weight into the drum with the metering medium.
■
Shorten inlet hose [8] , if necessary.
■
Push inlet hose [8] onto inlet port [6] .
■
Push outlet hose [11] onto outlet port [12] .
■
Shorten the outlet hose, if necessary.
Operation
During operation, water flows through the mixing
controller, the metering medium is drawn in and
diluted.
Switching ON/OFF
■
Switching on: Press push-button [1] .
■
Continuous operation: Pull the tongue off
the push-button.
For continuous operation, turn the pressed push-
button [1] 90° in clockwise direction.
■
Switching off: Release push-button [1] or turn
locked push-button in anti-clockwise direction.
