No system parts must be opened or removed when cleaning and caring for the external venetian blind. Should this be necessary,
contact a specialist dealer.
Heavy dirt deposits can lead to stiffness or damages and reduce the product lifetime, so remove any dirt sticking to the curtain surface
on a regular basis.
When doing so, also remove dirt or objects from the guide rails.
Only use commercially available, solvent-free cleaner and clean water to clean the external venetian blind. Do not use aggressive
cleaning agents, solvents such as alcohol or benzine, or scouring agents or scouring pads.
Never lubricate the external venetian blind mechanics or the motor!
To optimally maintain the gliding ability of the slat guide pins in the guide rails, we recommend spraying them with a grease-free
silicone spray if necessary. Contact a specialist dealer if the system is making a great deal of noise.
7.4 EXTERNAL VENETIAN BLINDS WITH AN INTEGRATED INSECT SCREEN
9. CLEANING AND CARE
Manually operating an integrated insect screen curtain from the top down: the curtain (insect screen) independently moves upwards
a little once the end bar is manually unlocked. For this reason, also manually slow the curtain down if necessary, to avoid damage to
the curtain as a result of it moving upwards too forcibly.
The curtains of the rolling integrated insect screen are pre-tensioned using a spring shaft. Never attempt to disassemble the canvas
shaft – risk of injury! Always contact a responsible specialist dealer for any maintenance or repair work.
When using an integrated insect screen solution in the door area (curtain, rotating frame, sash frame), always check whether the
insect screen is opened or closed. As the insect screen gauze is easy to see through, there is the risk of it being overlooked. Attempting
to walk / run through a closed insect screen element can cause injuries to people or damages to the insect screen element.
When using an integrated insect screen revolving door featuring an automatic door closer, the rotary wing closes automatically. Ensure
that there are no people or objects between the rotary wing and the frame profile when the revolving door is closing automatically –
risk of crushing!
When using an external venetian blind featuring an integrated insect screen revolving door, ensure that the insect screen rotary wing
(opens outwards) is closed when the external venetian blind is being operated. Operating the external venetian blind (extending the
external venetian blind curtain) when the insect screen rotary wing is opened can cause damage to the entire system.
When using an integrated insect screen sliding door, ensure that there are no people or objects between the sliding wing and the
frame profile when the sliding wing is closing – risk of crushing!
8. THE FOLLOWING POINTS MUST BE OBSERVED
To avoid thermal breakage of glass and the build-up of condensation, sufficient aeration and ventilation of the room, the correct selec-
tion of glass and professional installation are all required.
We would like to point out that insufficient ventilation and aeration may cause a build-up of condensation and also a build-up of heat.
We cannot accept any guarantees that have been damaged in such a manner. This also applies to glass breakages as a consequence
of heat build-up or unsuitable characteristics of the glass.
