DRIVING DIRECTIONS > BRAKING
1
2
The front and rear brakes are activated independent-
ly of each other.
The front brake is activated by the right brake lever
(1) and the rear brake by the left brake lever (2).
However, your vehicle is equipped with a CBS com-
bined braking system which activates both brakes
when the rear brake is applied. However, for maxi-
mum braking performance, both brakes must be
used at the same time.
When braking, close the throttle completely and
apply both levers at the same time.
In bad conditions such as sharp curves, dirty or dus-
ty pavement, wet roads or ice on the pavement, use
the brakes very carefully, especially the front brake,
as this can lead to wheel lock-up and/or wheel sli-
ppage.
Brake carefully. Locking the wheels increases braking
distances, can cause wheel slippage and can lead to
an accident. As a general rule, do not brake in curves
but before the curve. Braking in a curve increases the
danger of sliding or skidding.
