7. Fine tune the front deck lift assembly by
loosening adjuster jam nut, then slide bolt
up or down in slot until blade is at the
correct height.
8. Fine tune rear adjusters same as front
detailed in #7.
9. Re-measure until all four sides are the
correct height. Tighten all the nuts on the
deck lift arm assemblies.
10. Lower discharge deflector.
11. Re-tighten front and rear height-of-cut plate
mounting bolts.
Important: Torque the front and rear
height-of-cut plate mounting bolts to 27-
33 ft-lb (37-45 N-m).
12. Repeat steps 6 through 10.
13. To achieve a cutting height greater than
4.75” you can remove additional blade
spacers from the blade spindle assembly.
PUMP DRIVE BELT TENSION
Self-tensioning
– no adjustment necessary.
MOWER DECK DRIVE BELT TENSION
52”
These instructions are for the 52” deck only.
48” & 60” decks do not require adjustments.
Adjust deck tension idler by loosening or
tightening eyebolt for more or less tension in
the Mower Deck Drive Belt Tension area.
A: Install new
belt. Set cutting height at 3”.
Measuring overall spring length, set to 7-
3/4”.
Adjust jam nut (C) on eye bolt.
B: Belt break in time is 3 hrs. After break in,
overall spring length should be 7-
1/8”
PARK BRAKE ADJUSTMENT
Check to make sure brake is adjusted properly.
This procedure must be followed after the first
100 hours or when a brake component has
been removed or replaced.
1. Drive the machine onto a level surface.
2. Disengage the blade control switch (PTO),
move the motion control levers to the
neutral locked position and set the parking
brake.
3. Stop the engine, wait for all moving parts to
stop and remove the key.
4. Raise the back of the machine up and
support the machine with jack stands.
