WIRING AND CIRCUIT PROTECTION
All World Class Catamarans are wired using marine grade tin coated copper wire, instead of standard copper
wire. Tin coated copper is manufactured to withstand the harsh saltwater environment better than standard copper,
which is used for residential applications. Environmentally sealed Deutsch™ connectors are installed on all accesso-
ries located below the waterline to ensure watertight connections. The remaining devices are installed with high qual-
ity splices and terminals, which are heat shrunk to protect the integrity of the connection. Harnesses are routed
through PVC rigging tubes to prevent chaffing and covered with sheathing when necessary.
CONTROL SYSTEM
The 320 EC is equipped with an AC and DC control system, consisting of a two dash instrument panels and a AC
control panel on the starboard deckwing above the aft berth. Circuit protection for all the DC accessories is located
behind the dash. To access, unlock the clasps along the side and top of the dash, then fold down the small part. Four
DC fuse blocks are located behind the dash, each equipped with ATC style blade fuses. The lower fuse blocks are
connected to the instrument panel on either side of the dash. The AC panel in the cabin features residential style cir-
cuit breakers, simply flip to reset.
Accessories not integrated into the DC dash panels can include lights with integrated switches, marine head con-
trols, stereos, aftermarket electronics and 12V outlets. These devices draw current directly from the upper accessory
fuse blocks behind the dash. Ground blocks are another integral part of your electrical system. These are connected
to the common battery ground and individual appliances, to provide a path for current flow back to batteries.
