STORAGE
Ensure that all hot ash/coals are removed from the firebox safely.
Ensure your Wooshka is cooled before packing away for transport or storage.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Enjoy many years with your Wooshka by following some simple care and maintenance steps:
To prevent light surface rust, ensure that you regularly coat the outside of the firebox, flue pieces,
and cooking plates with food-grade oil. While the unit is still warm, use a soft cloth or paper towel
to rub the oil into the stove and accessories. Before storing your unit for any length of time, make
sure the unit is completely cooled and dry. If left outdoors, ensure that the unit is covered and
protected from the weather. We recommend placing a silica based moisture absorbency product
in with your appliance to minimise the risk of rust.
Before re-lighting your Wooshka, leave a small amount of ash under the internal fire grate,
ensuring there is adequate air flow providing plenty of oxygen to the fire.
LIGHTING WOOSHKA
You will require:
Kindling, dry firewood cut to small pieces no thicker than 60mm diameter & 300mm long,
newspaper/fire starters (if required), matches/lighter.
1. Set up Wooshka on a level surface before starting the fire (Tent pegs can be inserted into feet
for additional support.)
2. Place newspaper/fire starters in the firebox
3. Sit kindling over the newspaper/firestarters
4. To help the fire ignite, leave the door and top open to allow air circulation
5. Once the kindling starts to burn, slowly start feeding firewood until you have created a coal base
6. Once the fire is well established you can begin add the desired accessories
IMPORTANT:
• Ensure you can light a fire in the area you are camping.
• Wooshka is strictly for outdoor use only.
• To extend the life of your Wooshka grill/flat plates, we recommend covering the surface with aluminium foil
before cooking on them.
• For cooking, stick with wooden spoons or silicone spatulas. Using sharp objects like, knives or metal spatulas
can scratch and damage the coating on the cooking plates.
• Do not use your Wooshka unless fully assembled.
• Never leave Wooshka unattended and in case of an emergency, keep a bucket of water in close proximity
to the unit.
• It is also recommended to use heat proof gloves when operating the unit
• It is recommended that you keep young children and pets away from Wooshka.
You may choose to use a fire guard or a barrier to keep small children and pets at a safe distance.
