log. Start the log splitter to push the wedge wood to go completely under the jammed one.
Repeat above procedure with sharper slope wedge woods until the log is completely freed.
Do not try to knock the jammed log off with a hammer. Knocking may damage the machine
or launch the log and cause an accident.
Maximum pressure
The maximum air pressure has been properly set at the factory. The setting was done by a
qualified mechanic with professional instruments. Do not attempt to alter the maximum
pressure in any way. Unauthorized resetting will cause problems in the hydraulic system or
result damage to the machine.
MAINTENANCE
Daily maintenance
Make maintenance a regular part of the daily operation. The daily maintenance routine
includes:
Cleaning the machine and machine parts from residual wood debris, chips, dust, bark
pieces and other dirt.
Hydraulic oil check and hydraulic hose and fittings check-up to detect eventual oil leaks.
Greasing of moving parts.
Hydraulic oil
Replace the hydraulic oil of the log splitter after every 150 hours of use as follows:
1.
Make sure all moving parts and the log splitter engine have stopped.
2.
Unscrew oil drain bolt with dipstick to remove it.
3.
Put the log splitter over a minimum 4 liters container to drain the hydraulic oil off.
4.
Refill fresh hydraulic oil (hydraulic oil capacity: 3,5 l).
5.
Clean the surface of dipstick on the oil drain bolt and put it back into the oil tank
while keeping the log splitter vertically.
6.
Make sure the level of the refilled oil is just between 2 grooves around the dipstick.
7.
Clean the oil drain bolt before threading it back. Make sure they are tightened to
avoid leakage before putting the log splitter horizontally.
