Standards and regulations / Installation
In conjunction with gas-fired boilers, the AWT 1 room thermostat complies
with the following EC guidelines:

- Install the weather-compensated thermostat on any internal wall.

Thermostat base
MAX. 24 VDC/20 mA
Terminal strip
- Remove the base from the weather-compensated thermostat:
Evenly lever the thermostat housing on both sides off the base using
a screwdriver, to avoid bending the thermostat contact pins.
- Secure the thermostat base on the flush-mounting box or with four
screws directly to the wall.
- Terminate the cable between the gas-fired boiler and the weather-
compensated thermostat on the terminal strip of the thermostat base
(see "Electrical connection").
- Refit the weather-compensated thermostat on the thermostat base and
snap into position. When refitting the housing ensure, that the contact
pins on the thermostat are not bent.
- Install the outside temperature sensor at a north or north eastern wall
at a height of 2 - 2.5 m above the ground (cable grommet pointing
downwards!).
