Coffee soft pads
You can use all standard coffee soft pads with an external diameter of 7 cm (cof-
fee quantity approx. 7 g). Coffee pads with a smaller diameter do not produce the
best tasting coffee. Hard pads which are offered for espresso machines and pads
with additives for cappuccino, or similar, must not be used.
Never put damaged pads, loose coffee powder or instant coffee into the pad
cartridge (9) as it would clog and block the adjusting knob (10) so that the pad
cartridge (9) can no longer be removed. Should this nevertheless happen once,
please read the instructions in the section “Troubleshooting.”
The amount of coffee powder in a pad is optimally adjusted to a 125 ml cup. The
following fi ll amounts are pre-confi gured when delivered to the customer:

Turn the adjusting knob (10) to the position

home position . As a result, the pad cartridge (9) will be pushed out of the
brewing chamber somewhat to facilitate removal.
The pad cartridge (9) can be used from two sides. The side marked with

After insertion, lightly pat the coffee pad with your fi ngertips so that a small

pad is lying fl at in the depression of the pad cartridge (9) and does not stick
out or fold inwards.
▪
Using two coffee pads:
Press the lower coffee pad fi rmly into the recess of the pad cartridge (9). The
paper edge will point upward here. Then insert the second coffee pad accord-
ing to the procedure described above for one coffee pad.
▪ When inserting the pad cartridge (9), ensure that the pad is not displaced, as
otherwise the seal will not close properly.
