Shutting Down the Vehicle
If the vehicle has to be stored for an extended period of time, follow the chassis manufacturer’s
shutdown and maintenance requirements.
Also:
1.
Park the vehicle on a hard level surface and apply the parking brake (see Figure 2
12).
2.
Make sure that all moving parts are in their home position (tailgate, arms, forks, packer, etc.).
3.
Turn OFF, in sequence, the hydraulic pump (see Figure 2
17), the electrical system, the engine
and the master switch (see Figure 2
13).
4.
Drain the air tanks and the air filter assembly.

Prior to Start Up
Before starting the vehicle:
1.
Make sure no system will engage and/or start to operate as you start the engine.
2.
Make sure the shut-off valve on the hydraulic tank is fully open before starting the vehicle
