FITTING
1.
Cut a 60mm wide x 30mm deep slot in the bumper (see sketch). Remove bumper (5 push-in clips along top edge of
bumper, 1 screw each side, 2 screws securing each mud flap and 1 above, 2 push-in clips along lower edge of bumper
and release the wiring loom from inside bumper).

Release the rearmost silencer hangers and allow to drop (depending on the type drill being used it be necessary to remove
silencer to gain access to holes). Remove boot floor covering. Loosely secure Sidearms (D1) to vehicle chassis at forward
most holes (D) with bolts (D), using Sidearms as a guide drill rearmost holes (D) (Note: a captive nut is present 25mm
above, care must be taken not to damage threads whilst drilling), drill through forward holes (E) into boot floor (second
skin). Remove Sidearms and enlarge holes where necessary so that bushes (D2) and (E1) can be inserted (lower skin
only) and loosely secure Cross Tube (A), Sidearms (D1), using bolts (D) and (E) ensuring correct positioning of flat
washers and removal of any compound around seating areas.

Position bushes (F1) either side of towing eye (extra bushes are supplied for vehicles which have an offset towing eye) and
secure between drop plates using bolt (F) with Flat Washers.
4.
Attach Centre Tube (C) to Cross Tube (A) using Bolts (G) and fully tighten all bolts (tighten bolt (F) last). Secure exhaust,
refit bumper and boot trim.
This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z1) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a ‘D’ and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which
must be observed
.
Recommended torque settings:
M8 - 27Nm,
M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm , M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
