- The ducting must be made from certified material.
The manufacturer/distributor cannot be held liable for product and/or personal harm in connection with incorrect
installation, connection and use of the hood. This will invalidate the warranty.
Recirculation mode
The hood is also designed for recirculation mode. This requires buying a charcoal filter (sold separately).
The air is drawn in and cleaned first by the grease filters and then by a charcoal filter.
The cleaned air is then recirculated back into the room.
The hood is intended for permanent installation on a horizontal ceiling above a gas stove/hob
or electric cooking stove/hob.
The active charcoal filter is needed for recirculation mode. The filters remove the grease and cooking smells until they
are saturated. The filters cannot be washed or recycled. They need replacement after 2-6 months depending on the use
of the hood.
Attention: The charcoal filters can constitute a fire hazard if they are not replaced when saturated. Replace the filters
approx. every fourth month (this can vary between two and six months depending on use).
Mains connection
The hood complies with the European directives 2006/95/EC and 2004/108/EC on low voltage and electronical
compatibility.
Note: In case of malfunction, the hood must be disconnected from the mains. Call a service technician with reference to
the phone number in the ‘Warranty and service’ section below.
Note: The hood must be disconnected from the mains before any cleaning or maintenance.
Note: Always ensure a minimum distance of 1 m between the hood and a gas hose at any time.
This appliance is either fitted with
• an H05 VVF 3 conductor, 0.75 mm2 (neutral, phase, and ground) power cord. This can be connected up to a
220 - 240 V, min. 10A. Always ensure that the conductor is easily accessible.

An EU-certified Schuko plug. This can be connected up to a 220 - 240 V, min. 10A. Always ensure that the
conductor is easily accessible.
The electrical safety of the hood can only be guaranteed if the hood is properly grounded. The manufacturer/distributor
cannot be held responsible for any damages that occur due to the lack of proper grounding.
The hood should be installed by a certified technician. If unauthorized persons install the hood, it can lead to serious
personal injury or product damage.
Installation
IMPORTANT: The hood must be installed according to the illustrations on the last pages of the manual.
Read the installation instructions carefully. The figure numbers refer to the illustrations in the back.
