sed from 180⁰ to 210⁰. Actuations Within That Window Are
Ignored.
A Bypass Angle can be added on the sensor program screen, Figure 6-11. The default setting is for no
bypass angle. If a bypass angle is required, press ADD to program a bypass window. To remove a
previously programmed bypass, press CLEAR BYPASS on the bypass angle programming screen,
Figure 6-12. This will remove the bypass window and return the “ADD” button on the sensor
programming summary screen.
MINIMUM ACTUATION TIME (Static Sensors)
The Bypass Angle is effective when you know the approximate angle during which a nuisance fault
can occur. For applications that experience nuisance faults on static sensors at random times during
the stroke, use the Minimum Actuation Time setting. This feature enables the DiProPAC to ignore
short actuations of static sensors but will stop the press when a fault persists for longer than the
specified minimum actuation time. The value can be set from 10 to 2500 ms. The default value is 0,
which turns this feature off.
Set the Minimum Actuation Time in the Sensor Program screen, Figure 6-11.
1.
Press the MIN ACTUATION item. A numeric entry window appears
2.
Key in the minimum actuation time.
3.
Press enter. The Sensor Program screen shows the value you entered.
Cyclic Sensors: Green Sensors
Green sensors monitor cyclic events that must occur during a certain portion of each stroke or
intermittently every designated number of strokes. Examples are part ejection, stock feed, and part
transfer.
SmartPAC PRO stops the press if a green sensor fails to actuate during its Ready Signal, or if it
actuates at the wrong time.
