The screen captures are stored as JPEG files, and each one is about 80Kb in size. The file name s are
unique, and are derived from the time and date that they were captured. If there is a USB Disk in
SmartPAC PRO Servo’s USB port, the SmartPAC Pro creates a directory on the disk labelled
“CaptureXXXXXXXX”, with the XXXXXXXX being replaced with the SmartPAC PRO Servo’s
serial number. The screen captures are stored in this directory until the USB Disk is full.
If there’s no USB drive plugged into the USB port at the time a screen is captured, SmartPAC PRO
will store up to 20 screen captures internally. If more than 20 screens are captured, the SmartPAC
PRO overwrites the oldest file.
The internally stored screen captures and other diagnostic information can be retrieved from the
SmartPAC PRO by plugging a USB drive into the SmartPAC PRO’s USB port, going to the
Initialization Menu, selecting DIAGNOSTICS, then SAVE TO USB DISK (see Figure 3-5).

The SmartPAC PRO creates a directory on the drive labelled “UploadXXXXXXX” - with the
XXXXXXX replaced by the SmartPAC PRO Servo’s serial number. The screen captures are saved
into this directory.
If you attempt to download to USB disk without first plugging a USB drive into the USB Port, an
error message appears (see Figure 3-6).
