you use white spirit. White spirit can cause damage to your skin

and eyes

Keep the fuel pump in its original packing in a horizontal position in a clean dry area. The

area must have no contamination.
Be careful when you move the fuel pump.
To clean the fuel pump, use white spirit, e.g. Shellsol TD, Shellsol T or Solvent FP68.
