Make sure that all parts are undamaged and properly assembled. Improper installation may
result in injury. Damaged parts can affect safety and function.
•
The water pressure must be checked properly to prevent water escaping at high pressure and
causing injury. Do not point the water jet at persons or animals.
•
Hose reels are designed to carry water from fixed installations. It must not be used to carry other
liquids. Never drink the water that you transport with the hose reel. The hose reel is not suitable
for drinking water.
•
Lay the unrolled hose flat on the floor only. Avoid loops standing up. Loops are tripping hazards
and can lead to accidents.
•
Do not let the hose fall back on its own. Carefully guide it back into the housing.
•
Do not release the hose if the automatic stop function is not engaged.
Caution! Danger of slipping!
•
If the floor is wet, you may slip on the floor and injure yourself.
•
Make sure that the floor near the hose reel is kept as dry as possible.
•
Turn off the water tap when the hose reel is not in use.
Note! Risk of damage!
•
Improper handling of the hose reel can lead to damage.
•
Make sure that you do not damage any cables, lines, or water pipes during installation. Search
the installation site with a line finder before drilling. To prevent frost damage, remove the hose
reel from the wall in winter and store it in a dry place.
•
Do not run the hose around corners or edges or along pointed or sharp-edged objects. The
resulting damage can lead to leakage.
•
Do not lay the hose in areas that are used by vehicles. Running over the hose can cause it to
burst.
•
Do not open the hose reel housing. The springs are pre-tensioned, they can spring back.
•
Do not remove any screws from parts of the housing.
•
Make sure that the hose does not rewind itself. This can lead to damage.
•
Do not close the hose opening with your fingers or objects during use.
•
Do not use the hose reel if the plastic components of the hose reel have cracks or cracks or
have deformed. Replace damaged components only with suitable original spare parts.
Proper operation
1. Attach the threaded tap connector to your tap and connect the hose reel in to the tap, using the
supplied tap to reel hose.
2. To operate, pull the hose out and stop pulling at any desired length. The hose will automatically
lock in this position.
3. To further lengthen the hose, resume pulling.
4. To re-coil the hose, give a short pull to release the lock and the hose will automatically begin to
retract. To stop the hose, give a short pull to lock again.
5. When retracting, keep hold of the hose and walk towards the reel until the hose is fully retracted.
Letting go of the hose could result in injury.
6. It is recommended that you turn the water off at the tab before retracting the hose.
Maintenance
•
Always tidy the hose after use.
•
When not in use for long period, it is advisable to store your hose in a covered area.
