Faults, causes and remedies
WARNING
Risk of electric shock
Danger from electrical current must be eliminated.
Before carrying out electrical work, the pump must be de-energised (switched off)
and protected against unauthorised restarting.
It is recommended to disconnect the plug.

Motor does not start
Thermal protector
If the motor is overheated, it doesn’t operate.
Then, wait till getting cold (usually take about
20~30 min.)
Faulty cord connection
Insert the power plug securely
Cord disconnected or damaged
Replace the cord
Trouble in the motor
Repair or replace the motor
The voltage of the power supply to the pump is
too low
Check the voltage of the power supply and con-
sult with the local power supplier
The pump is running but there is
no output flow
Water level in well is lower than standard level
Check the water level in well
Trouble in check valve
Take off the check valve case and then, clean
the valve, valve seat and valve hole
Air drawn into suction pipe
Check for leaks in the entire pipe up to the pump
and seal when any leaks found
Air drawn into pump from mechanical seal
Replace the mechanical seal
Thermal protector for the motor
works too often
The voltage of the power supply to the pump is
too low or high
Check the voltage of the power supply and con-
sult with the local power supplier
Impeller is contact with other parts
Repair the defects
Short or open circuit of the capacitor
Repair or replace the capacitor
Water does not come out at the
first few minutes after switch on
Air drawn into suction pipe
Check for leaks in the entire pipe or replace the
defective piping (to prevent air leaking)
The pump starts though no water
is being used
Water leaks at piping or pump
Repair piping, pump parts and faucets etc.
Water leaks at mechanical seal
Replace the mechanical seal
Trouble in check valve
Take off the check valve case and then, clean
the valve, valve seat & valve hole
Defacement or transformation of the impeller
Replace the impeller
