11 Energy saving tips
The Wilo-Geniax Decentralised Pump System is a newly
developed heating system which, due to its innovative,
purely demand-oriented concept, can achieve energy
savings of an average of 20% compared to conventional
heating systems.
Energy consumption is not only based on the technology
of the heating system but also shaped by the individual
heating behaviour of the users.
The following energy saving tips inform you how you can
save more energy through adaptations to suit your own,
personal heating habits.
11.1 Setting the Central Control
Use the settings options and comfort functions the
Central Control offers to you.
The Central Control offers you the possibility to adapt and
to a large extent automate the heating of your rooms,
your apartment or your building to suit your individual
needs and your normal daily routine. You can pre-program
up to three heating-up and cooling-off periods for each
weekday and assign the respective comfort and energy
saving temperatures. In this way, you can be sure that
your heating is always in the comfort range when you are
present, but automatically switches to saving operation as
soon as you, for example, leave your house or apartment.
It is only necessary to intervene or change the preset set-
tings in the event you alter your normal daily routine (for
example, holidays, unforeseen presence or absence, etc.).
11.2 Setting the room temperature
Do not set the room temperature higher than is just
enough to ensure your well-being and comfort. Every
degree above this means an increase in heating costs of
up to 6%.
Also adapt the setting of the room temperature to the
corresponding use of the room. It is normally not neces-
sary to continuously heat rooms that are seldom used or
only used at particular times, such as bedrooms, at 20°C or
more.
