Burst live display
The burst live display shows the shape of the burst against the GSM standard or
a user-defined power/time template.
In order to get the exact measurement on any point of the burst, please use the
display markers.
The
Zoom
softkey allows you to zoom it the two most important areas of the
burst:
– the ramping phase and
– the constant power phase.
Burst results display
The result display shows the numeric results of the burst measurements.
For any GSM network, it is very important that the mobile keeps its RF power
level within the limits of the power/time template in order to maintain a good
transmission of the data during a burst and not to disturb the transmission of
other mobiles during the remaining time slots.
NOTE
The current MS power level that the mobile has been commanded to use, can
be seen and altered in the
“Test parameters”
section of this menu.
