Product Care
You have just purchased a very fine piece of handmade furniture. With the proper care, it will give you many years of
enjoyment. Just as you take pride in caring for fine silver or a beautiful wood surface, you will find it pays to take the
simple precautions necessary to preserve the beauty of your purchase. Handcrafted acrylic pieces from Plexi-Craft
are works of art; each individual craftsman labors to express their skills in every piece of fine furniture we produce.
This gives each piece an appreciating value and character produced only by the unique variations created by
crafting with hands. These hand manufacturing characteristics enhance the beauty of the piece and increase the
long life durability of the furniture.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
Always use a clean cloth made of soft cotton, much like a man’s t-shirt with the stitching removed
DUSTING - Dust only with a soft damp cloth or chamois, wiping gently.
WASHING - Wash with a mild soap or detergent and lukewarm water solution. Use as much solution as possible.
Rinse well with water. Dry by blotting, again using a soft cotton cloth.
DO NOT USE: Window cleaning fluids, scouring compounds, gritty cloths, or strong sol¬vents such as alcohol,
ammonia, acetone, carbon tetrachloride, etc.
POLISHING - Use a good polish for acrylics, such as Novus 1, available directly from Plexi-Craft. It provides a high
shine and does not show finger marks. Novus 1 is also a static elec¬tricity remover. This cuts down on the dust that
can be attracted to acrylic.
SCRATCH REMOVAL - Like a beautiful wood or fine silver, this material can be scratched. But unlike most other
materials, a scratch on this surface can be removed. Minor surface scratches can be visibly removed with Novus 2
available here. For heavier scratches use Novus 3 with the Novus 2.
PROTECTION - Just like on fine wood and metal, the surface of your new acrylic piece must be protected from
scratches and harmful agents. Use felt or rubber on the bottom of items that may scratch the surface and use drink
coasters to prevent potential clouding by spilled beverages and spirits.
