BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
NOTE: During the initial uses of this product, it may produce some smoke. This
is normal and will subside with further use.
Before using this appliance for the first time, the hotplates should be cleaned
with a moist cloth.
We recommend lightly greasing the hotplates when using the appliance for the
first time. This will not be necessary on subsequent occasions.
The first waffle should not be eaten.
USAGE
CAUTION: Do not use this appliance to cook or defrost frozen food. All food
must be completely defrosted before cooking it with this product.
CAUTION: Do not use metal utensils on this product, as they will scratch and
damage the plates’ non-stick coating.
1. Insert the plug into a standard electrical outlet. Make sure that the voltage
to be used agrees with the rated voltage of your appliance.
2. Close the waffle iron and prepare the waffle batter while the waffle iron
heats up.
3. The power indicator light will firstly light up in orange. When it switches to
green (after about 4 minutes), the waffle iron is ready for baking.
4. Open the appliance and pour the waffle batter onto the center of the lower
hotplates. Close the appliance carefully. Do not shut the appliance with
force. Note: Steam may be come from the hotplates.
5. When the green indicator light turns off, the orange indicator light will light.
After a few minutes the green indicator light will reappear and the waffle is
ready. If you think the waffles are too dark or too light, adjust the thermo-
stat.
6. Turn off the appliance by unplugging the power cord from the electrical
outlet.
7. When the unit has completely cooled down, clean and dry it.
NOTE:
Care must be taken to ensure that fingers do not come into contact with the
hotplates.
