Dangers due to damage to the machine
Damage to the machine can impair its operational reliability and cause accidents. This can then lead to a risk of serious or
even fatal injuries. The following parts of the machine are particularly important with regards to safety:
•
Guards
•
Coupling devices
•
Hydraulics
•
Tyres
If you are in any doubt regarding the operational condition of the machine, for example if it suddenly starts to behave
differently unexpectedly or if you observe visible damage / fluids escaping:
➢
Shut down and secure the machine, see Section 3.7.1
Shutting down and securing the machine".
➢
Eliminate any potential causes of the damage immediately, such as heavy soiling or loose screws.
➢
If you encounter damage that affects operational reliability and which you cannot rectify yourself by following the
information/instructions in the operating instructions, please have the equipment repaired by a qualified specialist
workshop.
Technical limits
The machine can be damaged if its technical limits are not observed. This can then lead to a risk of serious or even fatal
injuries. Observing the following limits is particularly important in terms of safety:
•
Maximum permitted hydraulic operating pressure
➢
Observe the limits, see Section 4.3
3.6.9.
Danger areas
When the machine is switched on, a danger area can result all around the machine.
Adequate safety clearance must be maintained to prevent any access to this danger area.
If the safety clearance is not observed, there is a risk of severe or even fatal injuries.
➢
Make sure there are no persons in the danger area before switching on drives and the engine.
➢
Should any persons enter the area reserved as safety clearance, shut down the drives immediately
➢
Stop the machine if currently manoeuvring.
➢
Prior to performing in the machine's danger area, shut down and secure the machine,
see Section 3.7.1
Shutting down and securing the machine". This also applies to quick checks.
➢
Observe the information provided in all relevant operating instructions:
