• My display cover has a dent in it.
The cover over the display is replaceable, and new covers
are available from White’s. Simply peel off the old one, and
stick on the new one.
• The display is very dim.
1. In shade or indoors you may need to turn on the back-
light.
2. The

display is polarized, so polarized sunglasses
can severely reduce the brightness. Tilt your head from
side-to-side to see if this is the problem.
• My pinpointer is causing interference.
This is a common problem with any detector and pinpointer.
When you lay the detector on the ground, keep the loop away
from the area you will be probing. You can also suspend detec-
tor operation while digging; a quick way to do this is to press
the
MENU
key and bring up the Main Menu. Pull the trigger to
resume hunting.
• My accessory loop is overloading at high RXGain
settings.
White’s has no control over the null quality of 3rd-party
loops. In general, you will have to run the RxGain low enough
to prevent overloading. Most loops that overload do so on the
22.5kHz frequency, so you can also try to run in the 2.5kHz or
7.5kHz single frequency mode.
