INSTALLATION 

 

  It is recommended that 2 people unpack and install the appliance. 

  The appliance must be positioned on a firm, level, solid floor, which is 

strong enough to support the freezer when it is fully loaded. 

  Ensure that a minimum of 15cm of space is left at the back and sides of 

the appliance, to allow for proper ventilation. 

  Ensure that there is enough space above the appliance for the lid to fully 

open. 

  Locate the appliance away from sources of heat and out of direct sunlight. 

 

Do not

 install the appliance in a moist or wet environment. 

  This appliance is suitable for use in an ambient temperature of 10 to 43°C. 

 
WARNING: This appliance must be earthed. 
 

  Any electrical work that is required to install the appliance must be carried 

out by a qualified electrician. 

  The freezer should be powered from a 220-240V 50Hz supply. 

  It is recommended that the socket is still accessible after the freezer has 

been installed. 

 
 

 
 

OPERATION 

 

Before using your Chest Freezer 

 
1.  Ensure that the appliance has been installed as recommended and that it 

is level. 

2.  Clean the inside of the freezer compartment (see ‘Care and Maintenance’) 
3.  Ensure that the appliance has been left for a minimum of 2 hours before 

switching on the power, to allow the refrigeration system to stabilise. 

4.  Insert the plug into a socket and switch on the supply. 
5.  Run the chest freezer for 2 – 3 hours to allow the compartment to get 

down to temperature, before placing food in the freezer compartment. 

 
Caution: When the compressor first starts up it may produce some 
background noise. This is normal and will reduce as the cooling system 
operates.
