AUTOMATIC SAFETY CUT-OUT
An automatic safety cut-out feature is fitted for protection against boil-dry overheating. It will
operate if the kettle is switched on when containing insufficient water. If this should occur, switch
off the kettle and remove the power cord from the power outlet. Allow the kettle to cool for 10
minutes, then refill with cold water and connect to the power supply.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
•
Avoid the use of solvents, polish and abrasive or aerosol cleaners as they may damage the
surface of the product. The inside of the kettle may be cleaned using a mild detergent;
however it must be thoroughly rinsed before re-use. Clean the exterior of the kettle by
wiping with a slightly dampened soft cloth. Make sure the kettle is thoroughly dried before
reconnection to the power supply. Do not immerse the kettle in water or any other liquid.
•
In case of residue build up, descale the kettle regularly. To descale, fill the kettle with 1L
water and add 50ml vinegar. Bring to the boil and allow to stand overnight. The following
day, boil the kettle again, pour the water out and refill with fresh water. Bring to the boil
again. This water must also be poured away. Commercial de-scaler for kettles may also be
used. Follow the instructions on the de-scaler product packaging.
CAUTION:
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with lack of experience,
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, without supervision or instruction by a person
responsible for their safety.
