Before carrying out any maintenance or cleaning,
always unplug the appliance or switch the power
supply off.
In the case of electronic models, push the on/off
button before unplugging the appliance.
Defrost the freezer once or twice a year when too
much frost has accumulated on the freezer grids.
Frost buildup on the freezer grids is normal.  The
quantity and rapidity of accumulation varies
according to ambient conditions and the
frequency of opening of the door and tends to be
greater on the uppermost grids.
It is advisable to defrost the freezer when there is
very little food stored in it.

Open the door, remove all the food from the
freezer, wrap in sheets of newspaper and put in a
cool place or in a thermal bag.

Leave the freezer door open to allow the frost to
melt.

Pull out the defrost water drain and place a tray
below it.

Clean the inside of the freezer using a sponge
soaked in a solution of warm water and neutral
detergent. Do not use abrasive substances.

Rinse and dry carefully.

Fit the drain back in place.

Place the foods inside.

Close the freezer door.

Plug in the appliance again.

Start up the freezer.
Note: In the case of electronic models, push
the on/off button after plugging in the
appliance and before restarting it.

Periodically clean the condenser on the rear of the
appliance, using a vacuum cleaner or a soft brush.

Prolonged disuse (holidays, etc.)

Empty the freezer.

Disconnect it from the mains supply.

Defrost and clean the inside.

Leave the door open in order to prevent the
formation of odours and eliminate internal
humidity.
