Installation:
1. Measure 1.90" from the flat area on the lower arm of the
mirror assembly as shown. This will be the horizontal
centerline of the lighthead. Draw a pencil line across the
mirror body along this line (Fig. 1).
2. Position the lighthead flange on the mirror assembly,
aligning the two lighthead mounting holes with the
centerline drawn in step 1. Mark the location of the 4
mounting holes onto the mirror assembly.
3. Repeat steps 1 & 2 for the other side of the vehicle.
4. Following factory recommended procedures, remove
both mirror assemblies from the vehicle. Carefully
remove the assembly cover from the assembly.
5. Drill 4 pilot holes for the mounting screws and a wire
passage hole in both mirror assemblies. Be careful not
to damage internal mirror parts. Refer to the lighthead
manual for wire hole size. Figure 1 shows the
approximate location of the wire hole.
6. Secure the mounting flange to the mirror assembly using
the specified hardware as shown in Figure 2.
7. Extend the lighthead wires into the mounting hole and follow the mirrors power harness path routing the wires out of the mirror assembly along the
same path as the mirrors wire harness.
8. Mount both lightheads to their mounting flanges as shown (Fig. 2).
9. Reassemble any parts removed during disassembly and remount the mirror assemblies to the vehicle following manufacturer procedures.
