I M P O R TA N T W A R N I N G !
Installation:
1.
Place the bracket onto the
mounting surface. The bracket
mounts in the area below the
taillight.
2.
When you have positioned the
bracket so it fits perfectly and flush
with the body, mark off the location
of the two mounting holes.
3.
Remove the bracket and drill the
two mounting holes with a drill bit
sized for the supplied 6 X 1/2"
Phillips Pan Head Sheet Metal
Screws.
NOTE: Since there are several
options for the wire path. the choice
is left to the installers discretion for
extending the wires to power.
If a wire passage hole is required,
use a 3/8” drill bit.
Drill the wire passage hole when you drill the bracket mounting holes. It is recommended you install a rubber grommet
(customer supplied) in the wire hole and use RTV sealer on the mounting holes.
Secure the bracket to the vehicle using the supplied 6 X 1/2" Phillips Pan Head Sheet Metal Screws and Rubber Pads (Fig. 2).
IMPORTANT: The supplied mounting screws are specially coated to inhibit corrosion and must be used in this installation.
4.
While extending the wires to the power source, secure the lighthead to the bracket using the 6 - 32 X 1/2” Phillips Pan Head Machine
Screws and lighthead cover (Fig. 3).
WARNING! All customer supplied wires that connect to the
positive terminal of the battery must be sized to supply at least
125% of the maximum operating current and FUSED at the
battery to carry that load. DO NOT USE CIRCUIT BREAKERS
WITH THIS PRODUCT!
