Connecting the Push-Button Control Wires (Violet, White, Yellow, Orange and White/Black)

The 295HFS5 push button switches control the following wires:

P-BUTTON #1

WHT/BLK

P-BUTTON #2

WHITE

P-BUTTON #3

YELLOW

P-BUTTON #4

ORANGE

Note: p-button #6 is a momentary switch.

This switch is best used for momentary-use circuits
such as trunk release or gun lock.

Connections For The 4 Position Input Harness

The 4 position input assembly is comprised of three wires that are to be connected as follows:

RED

To +12 VDC fused @ 3 amps (customer supplied fuse)

WHITE/RED

To the vehicle’s dashboard dimmer control switch (this allows the 295 HFS5 backlight to 
match dashboard light intensity). 

BLACK/WHITE

is controlled by push-button switch #5.

NOTE:

 

This push-button control wire is

designed to activate a relay with a coil rating
no greater than 250 ma. Do not attempt to
connect this wire to any circuit that carries a
higher rating!
