Before first Use
Unpack the article and dispose of the packaging materials carefully; the
plastic bags may become a deadly toy for children.
Operation
Under the lamp is a switch, marked with “ON” and “OFF”. In the “ON”
position the lamp lights up in the dark. For charging and operation the
switch must be set to “ON”.
Replacing the Batteries
The solar light comes complete with one rechargeable NiMH battery
(AAA) each. If it becomes necessary to replace the battery, replace the old
battery with a new battery of the same type and capacity (note the
specifications on the original batteries). To ensure consistently good
performance, we recommend that you replace the rechargeable battery
every 12 months. The rechargeable battery should be replaced immedi-
ately when the lamp lights up for only a short period at night even though
the battery was sufficiently charged during the day.
Loosen the screws of the housing and carefully separate the shells. Be
careful to not rip off any wires and replace the battery. Observe correct
polarity, polarity symbols are in the housing. Reassemble the housing and
make sure to not pinch any wires.
Cleaning and Storing
Clean the unit only with a lightly moistened cloth. Do not use aggressive
chemicals or abrasives for cleaning.
Store the light chain in a dry place and protect it from dust and dirt. Keep
the article out of reach of children.
