Soldering Iron ZD-70DB

230 V~ 50 Hz 30 W

Safety Notes:

ƒ

For the best results, keep the soldering tip clean and replace if

necessary. Replace the tip only while it is cold.

ƒ

Operate the soldering iron only with the required 230 V AC and do

not work on life parts.

ƒ

Work only in well ventilated areas because hot solder and flux can

emit hazardous fumes.

ƒ

Do not lead the power cord over sharp edges or hot surfaces. If the

soldering iron or the power cord becomes damaged, do not use the
unit before it has been repaired by a professional.

ƒ

Do not use the soldering iron outdoors.

ƒ

Do not immerse the unit in liquids of any kind.

ƒ

Turn off the soldering iron and pull the power plug while cleaning or

not using the unit. Do not pull on the power cord, always grasp the
plug itself.

ƒ

Allow the soldering iron to cool down completely before storing or

cleaning it.

Operation:

1. Plug the power plug of the soldering iron into a 230 V~ 50 Hz wall

socket. Place the soldering iron on a heat-resistant surface or,
preferably, use a suitable support.

2. The soldering iron heats up with a heating power of around 30 W.

On the handle you will find a red LED that shows the operating
status (switched on = LED flashes).

3. Before the first use, the soldering tip must be tinned. Allow some

solder to melt on the hot soldering tip and let it to melt into a thin film
which covers the entire soldering tip.

4. After work, allow some solder to melt on the soldering tip to protect it

against corrosion during the period of disuse. Excess solder can be
wiped off with a damp sponge after the soldering tip has heated up
for the next use.
