1. Safety Notes
Please note the following safety notes to avoid malfunc-
tions, damage or physical injury:
Before taking any measurements always check the device, the
measuring cables and any other accessories for possible damage.
In the event of any damage, do not attempt to take measurements.
Have the device repaired by an authorized technician.
Do not exceed the maximum allowable input voltage (see technical
Data).
Do not exceed the maximum allowable input values for any
measurement function.
Before changing the measuring range with the switch (4) always
remove the probes from the device from which measurements are
being taken.
When carrying out measurements of over 60 V DC or 25 V AC,
always follow the relevant safety regulations. Disconnect the circuit
from the power supply before connecting the probe tips.
Do not connect any power source to the 10 A- and the mA-Inputs. If
this advice is not strictly followed, the device may be damaged and
injuries may occur.
Carry out measurements only on an insulated floor, in dry clothing
and wearing rubber shoes (or standing on a rubber mat). Do not
touch any metallic objects.
Do not touch bare wires or live areas of the device during meas-
urements.
Do not connect the measuring probes to a power source while the
unit is set to continuity test, resistance measurement, capacitance
measurement, Diode test, temperature measurement, or current
measurement.
Do not reach over the safety ring when handling the probes. This
way, it is not possible to contact the metal tips of the probes when
taking measurements (danger of an electric shock!).
Important! The device is not suitable for use in industrial high
voltage plants.
