1. In this warrant y:

3. W arranty Per iod: Subj ect to these te rm s and co nditions , th is w arrant y
continues fo r in Austr alia fo r a per iod o f 24 mo nths a nd in New Ze ala nd
for a per iod o f 24 mo nths, f ollowing the d ate o f o rigi nal purc hase of th e
Applia nce.
4. Repa ir o r r epl ace w arranty: Dur ing the W arr ant y P erio d, E lectro lux
or its AS C will, at n o extr a cha rge i f yo ur App liance i s rea dily ac cessibl e
for serv ice, with out sp ecial equ ipme nt and sub ject t o th ese ter ms and
condit ions , re pai r o r re place a ny parts whic h it cons ide rs to be defe ctiv e.
Ele ctro lux may, i n its abs olut e di scr etion , choo se w heth er th e re med y
fo r a vali d warrant y clai m is repai r o r replacement . Elect rolu x o r it s
ASC may use refurb ish ed parts to rep air yo ur App liance. You agre e th at
any rep laced Applia nce s o r p arts bec ome the pro pert y of E lectro lux .
5. Trave l an d trans portat ion costs : Sub ject to cl ause 7, E lec tro lux w ill
bea r the rea son able co st o f tr ansp orta tio n, tr avel and delive ry of the
Applia nce to a nd fr om Elec trol ux o r its AS C. Tr avel and tra nsportati on will
be arran ged by Elec trol ux a s p art o f a ny vali d wa rrant y claim.
6. Pr oof of p urchas e is requ ired befo re you can mak e a cl aim under thi s
warrant y.
7. Exc lus ions : You m ay no t make a claim under th is warrant y un less th e
defect claime d is du e to fau lty o r d efe ctive parts or wo rkma nship . T his
warranty doe s n ot cove r:
(a) light globes , batteries , or simila r perishabl e parts ;
(b) p arts and App liance s n ot supp lied by Elec trol ux;
(c) cosmeti c damag e whic h doe s no t th e operatio n o f th e
Applia nce ;
(d) dam age to the Applia nce caused by :
(i) negl ige nce or acc ident;
(ii) misus e o r abuse , in clud ing failu re to p roper ly m aint ain or s erv ice ;
(iii) im pro per , ne glig ent or f aul ty serv ici ng or rep air wo rks d one by
anyon e o ther th an an E lect rol ux a uthoris ed repai rer or AS C;
(iv ) nor mal w ear and te ar;
(v) po wer surges , e lectr ica l storm da mage or in corre ct p ower supp ly;
(vi ) inc ompl ete or im pro per insta lla tion ;
(vi i) in cor rec t, i mproper or inapp ropri ate oper atio n;
(vi ii) ins ect or v erm in infest ation ;
(ix ) fa ilu re t o c om ply w ith any additi ona l instru ctions suppl ied wi th
the Appl ianc e;
In addition, El ect rolux is not lia ble under th is w arranty if:
(a) the App lianc e has be en, or El ect rolux re ason ably bel ieve s th at th e
Applia nce h as b een , us ed f or purpos es other th an th ose for whi ch
the App lianc e w as intend ed, in clud ing w here the Applia nce has
been us ed f or a ny non-d omestic purp ose ;
(b) th e Applianc e is withou t authorit y fr om Elect rolu x in writing ;
(c) the App lianc e’s s eria l nu mber or wa rranty sea l has be en remov ed
or deface d

excluded under the Austral ian Consu mer La w. Y ou a re entitl ed t o a
repl ace ment
or r efund for a major fa ilur e a nd for comp ens ation fo r a ny
other re ason abl y fo resee able loss or dam age. Yo u are also ent itle d to
hav e th e App lia nce repa ire d or rep lac ed if th e App lian ce f ails to be of
acc eptable qua lity and the fai lur e does not amount t o a majo r fail ure .

purchased in Ne w Ze aland for co mmer cia l purposes the Consu mer
Guarantee A ct d oes not app ly.
11. You acc ept that if you mak e a warr ant y claim, Elect rolu x
and its a gents inc luding AS C m ay ex change information in relation to yo u
to enable Elect rolux to meet its ob ligat ions under this warrant y.
