INSTRUCTIONS
This device is suitable for removal of the hair on your
armpits, arm, bikini area and legs only. Any other use may
result in damage to the device or injuries.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Follow basic safety precautions, including:
1. Read this manual before first use thoroughly. It
contains important information for your safety as well
as for the use and maintenance of the equipment. Keep
these instructions for future reference and pass it on
with the device.
2. Pay particular attention to the warnings on the device
and in this instruction manual.
3. Use the device only for its intended purpose. Improper
use may lead to hazards.
4. This device is designed for household use only, not for
staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working
environments, farm houses, by clients in hotels, motels
and other residential type environments, bed and
breakfast type environments use. It is not suitable for
commercial use.
5. In the event of improper use or wrong operation, we do
not accept any liability for resulting damages.
6. The use of accessories and components not expressly
recommended by the manufacturer may result in
injuries or damages and voids the warranty.
7. This device is not intended to be used by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental abilities or lack of experience and / or
lack of knowledge unless they are supervised by a
person responsible for their safety or have received
instructions on how to use the device.
8. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the device.
9. Never leave the device unsupervised while it is
switched on.
10. Do not place heavy objects on top of the device.
11. Never immerse electrical parts of the device in water
during cleaning or operation.
12. Do not under any circumstances attempt to repair
the device yourself. For servicing and repairs, please
consult an authorised dealer or qualified customer
service centre.
Installation location
1. Put the device in a place which is out of reach of
children.
2. Keep this device away from all heat sources like for
example, ovens, hot plates and other heat-producing
devices/objects.
3. Protect this device from extreme heat (over 35°C) and
cold (under 5°C) as well as from direct sunlight and
dust.
Specific safety instructions
1. Your epilator has been specially designed for the
removal of unwanted hair on your armpits, arm, bikini
area and legs only. Do not use it for removing facial
hair or the hair on your head.
2. When your appliance is switched on, keep it away from
clothes, and accessories.
3. Always consult your doctor before use if you have
any of the following: wounds, ace, eczema, psoriasis,
a prevalence to allergies, raised moles, veining or high
coloring (Rosacea), reduced immunity of the skin,
e.g. if you have diabetes or are pregnant, hemophilia
or immune deficiency. Please note that the use of
hormones and contraceptic pills can affect hair growth,
color and thickness. These changes cannot be caused
or promoted by the use of your appliance
4. Clean the device and other accessories after each use.
Refer to the Chapter CARE AND MAINTENANCE.
BEFORE FIRST USE
Unpacking and checking
1. Carefully take the device and its accessories out of the
packaging. Retain the packaging in case you would like
to store the device away or transport it at a later date.
If you choose to dispose of the packaging, then please
do so according to the applicable legal regulations.
2. Check the packaging contents for completeness and
damages. Should the contents in the packaging not
be complete or be damaged, do not use the device.
Return it to your retail outlet immediately.
Battery operation:
1. To charge the device, slide the on/off switch
downwards (off). Connect the feed line of the mains
adapter to the switched-off device and then insert the
mains adapter into a safety socket.
2. The pilot lamp lights up and the battery is charged.
3. Charge the device for 12 hours before using for the first
time.
CAUTION: Never charge the appliance for longer than
24 hours.
4. To prolong battery life, the battery must be completely
discharged before the device is loaded again.
Operation using a wall power supply:
First connect the feed line of the mains adapter to the
device and then insert the mains adapter into a safety
socket. The device is therefore operated via electric
current and the device can be used immediately.
USING THE EPILATOR
1. Remove the protective cap from the unit.
2. Check if the rotating epilator head has been installed
on the unit.
3. Stretch your skin with your free hand to make the hairs
stand upright.
4. Place the unit at 100° angle onto your skin. Press the
unit lightly to your skin. Do not exert any pressure, just
touch the skin.
5. Use short, circular movements as if you were brushing
or wiping – in the direction the hair grows.
6. Pull the skin taut with your other hand, if necessary.
Stretch out your leg when removing hair behind your
knee.
7. Hold out your arm to stretch the skin when removing
armpit hairs.
8. Slide the on/off switch to “0” to switch off the unit
after use.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
1. Always switch off unit and unplug the adaptor from the
mains before cleaning.
2. Remove the rotating epilator head from the unit by
pushing the release buttons (both sides).
3. Use the cleaning brush (included) to remove all the
hairs from the rotating head mechanism and the
housing.
4. It is no need to clean the discs of the rotating
mechanism. However, you can wipe them from time
to time with alcohol to maintain hygiene. Use a cotton
bud which you have soaked in alcohol and then
squeezed out. The cotton bud must not be wet.
5. Never put the appliance in water or any other liquid.
NOTE: Never use solvents and abrasives, hard brushes,
metallic or sharp objects for cleaning. Solvents are harmful
to health and attack the plastic parts. Abrasive cleaners
and tools scratch the surface.
AFTER HAIR REMOVAL
You may feel some irritation or experience some reddening
of the skin. This is quite normal after removing hair by the
roots - as with ordinary tweezers.
It is recommended to use your appliance last thing at
night, so that if reddening occurs it will disappear by
morning. Also it is important not to expose your skin to
sunlight for some hours after hair removal.
DISPOSAL
Proper disposal of this product.
This label indicates that, in the EU, electronic devices
cannot be disposed of with regular household waste.
