Operating
Before first Use
Remove the device from the packaging. Keep packaging material out of reach of
small children. There is risk of suffocation!
Attaching/Changing the Sand Paper
Sandpaper for this finishing sander can be purchased from the Westfalia
Werkzeug Company.
1. Always select the sandpaper according to the material you intend to sand.
2. To attach the sanding paper, flip the clamping levers (4) up. Now you can
slide both ends of the paper under the clamps (7).
3. Make sure the holes in the sanding paper are exactly over the holes in the
sanding plate to provide a good dust extraction.
4. Lock the sanding paper in place by flipping down the clamping levers (4).
Attaching the Dust Bag
1. The finishing sander is equipped with a flange to connect a dust extractor or a
dust bag.
2. Slide the dust bag (6) or the suction tube of a dust extractor or a suitable
vacuum cleaner over the dust extraction flange (3). Do not work without dust
bag or dust extraction system.
Turning the Unit ON and OFF
1. Connect the power plug to a suitable wall socket.
2. To turn the unit ON, press and hold the ON/OFF switch (1).
3. To turn the unit OFF, release the ON/OFF switch (1). For convenience during
extended use we suggest using the locking button (2).
4. To engage the locking button press and hold the ON/OFF button (1) and
press the locking button (2).
5. To unlock, press and release the ON/OFF switch.
