Using
5. Press the trigger (2) to start the delivery of air and to start-up the sand
blaster. The more you press the trigger, the stronger the sand blast will
be. The shot is thrown against the surface and is then carried into the
collecting bag by the air stream. If necessary, perform some test runs
on an unused workpiece before work.
6. Release the trigger to stop the delivery of air and to stop sand blasting.
7. Empty the collecting bag (6) in regular intervals. To do so, open the
hook-and-loop fastener and pull it off the sand blaster. The grinding
material can be re-used several times.
8. After work, for emptying the collecting bag, for filling the grinding
material container or before changing the nozzle insert, disconnect the
device from the compressor.
9. After use, clean the air sand blaster and the nozzle inserts with a moist
cloth.
The results depend on the time for which one spot is exposed to the jet
of shot and on the air pressure. Please keep in mind that an exposure
too long or too much pressure can lead to damage to the treated sur-
face.
Included with the unit is a bottle with one litre of shot. When you decide
to use a different kind of shot, fill the container with up to one litre of
shot.
Air Pressure and Air Volume
Operate the air sand blaster with a pressure of 6 bar using a compres-
sor with an air suction capacity of at least 200 l/min. When using higher
pressure for operating the device than the max. permitted pressure of
8 bar, its self-life will be reduced drastically. The ideal capacity is pro-
vided by compressors with a suction capacity of 200
– 300 l/min.
Only use air hoses with an inner diameter of at least 9 mm. When
setting up the air pressure, always keep in mind that the pressure will
decrease by approx. 0.6 bar when using a 10 m long hose with an inner
diameter of 9 mm.
Maintenance, Lubrication and Care
Before maintaining the device, always disconnect it from the com-
pressed air source.
