Using
Please note the following safety advice to avoid malfunction and damage:
Persons
with
limited
physical, sensorial or mental abilities are not allowed to
use the unit, unless they are supervised and briefed for their safety by a
qualified person. The pipe vice is not a toy. Keep children away from the unit.
Check the pipe vice before each use for damaged parts. If the pipe vice
becomes damaged do not use it furthermore.
Assembly and Using
1. Mount the stands (12) with
the included bolts and nuts
on the supporting surface
(11), as shown in the pic-
tures on page II. Pull out the
stands as far as possible.
Make sure the pipe vice has
a safe stand.
2. To open the pipe vice, lift up
the hook arm (7) and place
the pipe to be worked on the
supporting surface (11), as
shown in the right picture.
Fix the hook arm again.
Clamp the pipe by turning
the handle (1). By turning
the handle clockwise. The
tip jaw frame (6) will move
downwards and fix the pipe in place.
When placing the pipe on the vice, make sure the shifting of weight is distrib-
uted on the supporting surface (11). By doing this the pipe vice cannot tip
over.
