.) If in doubt, refer to a professional.
We recommend using a residual current circuit-breaker with a nominal residual
current of
≤
30 mA, as available from Westfalia under article no. 66 72 61.
Start-Up
1. Before using the electric snow thrower, remove all stones, sticks and other
obstacles from the working area.
2. Before each use perform a visual inspection of the snow thrower.
3. Pull the switch lever (1) in direction to the push bar (9) and hold the device
firmly with both hands, one hand on the push bar and the other hand on the
switch lever.
4. Release the switch lever (1) to switch off the snow thrower.
Caution: The rotating auger (11) will run for a few seconds after switching off.
Wait until the rotating auger has come to a complete stop. Then pull the plug
and move to the different working area.
Always keep the power cable out of the working area.
5. Do not to direct the discharge chute towards persons, animals, vehicles or
glass walls. Stones etc. thrown from the discharge chute may cause injuries or
damage to properties.
Usage Hints
1. Position the snow thrower so that the rotating auger makes level contact with
the ground.
2. Push the snow thrower forwards. If the snow is completely cleared when
pushing, it indicates you are moving at the correct rate of forward motion. The
proper rate of speed depends on the depth of the snow and on the consistency
of the snow.
3. In deeper snow, push and pull the snow thrower forwards and backwards in
uniform movements.
