Operation
Attaching the Winch
Attention! Always wear gloves when handling the steel cable!
1. Hook the mounting plate (9) to the base plate of the winch. The opening of the
winch for the steel cable has to face in the opposite direction of the hole in the
mounting plate.
2. If you have attached the winch to a motor vehicle, make sure the vehicle will
not move under load. Do not put the vehicle in gear, instead apply the parking
brake and ideally use additional blocks under the tires to keep the vehicle from
moving.
3. Hang the mounting plate with the attached winch
onto the trailer hitch of the vehicle. Lead the hole
completely over the ball of the trailer hitch. It has to
catch the neck of the trailer hitch (as pictured on
the right).
4. Loosen the clutch of the winch by turning the turn
knob (2) counter clockwise for two turns. Use one
of the remote controls to wire out the steel cable to
the desired length. Make sure that at least three
turns of steel cable remain on of the drum. If
necessary, ask a second person for assistance.
5. Attach the hook to the object be drawn (using the
object hitch, pull straps or quick-release hooks).
Never attach the hook on vehicle panels, beams, steering components, drive
shafts, or deck clamps! Do not loop the steel cable around the object and
never draw a loop with the hook!
6. Turn the clutch knob clockwise and firmly fasten the clutch.
Operating the Winch
1. Step out of the danger zone and operate the toggle push button of the cable
remote (5) or use the keys on the radio controlled remote to wire out (6) or in
(7) the steel cable (make sure to switch on the radio controlled remote first).
The winch operates as long as you press any key accordingly.
2. Constantly monitor the operation of the winch and immediately turn off the
winch if you experience interferences or any threats of danger (e.g., drifting,
blocking or toppling load). Also turn off the winch if the slipping clutch re-
sponses (motor continues to rotate, but draws no more)! Then the maximum
pulling force is exceeded.
