Operation
For your own safety, please read the enclosed general safety
instructions before using the machine.
Operation
The cordless rotary tool is equipped with only one regulating
wheel. With this wheel you can turn the unit on and off and
set the rotating speed. A whining noise before the motor
starts up is normal and no reason for concern. When drilling,
grinding or carving, do not apply pressure to the tool.
Changing Tools
Lock the main shaft in position with the locking button (3)
and open the collet with the included wrench. Two collet
inserts for different tools are supplied with the unit, a
2.4mm and a 3.2mm insert.
Changing and Charging the Battery Pack
Upon delivery, the Ni-Cd batteries of the unit are not charged. Before the first
use, charge the battery packs for 3.5 hours each.
During normal use, always fully spend the charge in the battery pack to avoid
damaging the Ni-Cd batteries.
Set the regulating wheel to “0”. Squeeze the release tabs on both sides of the
battery pack. Remove the battery pack from the back of the tool. Align the
marks on the battery pack with the marks on the charger and insert the battery
pack into the charger. Connect the charger to a wall socket. The LED on the
charger confirms the charging process. Normally, a charging time of 3 hours is
sufficient to restore the charge of a spend battery pack. Do not charge the
battery pack for more than 3.5 hours.
After charging, remove the battery pack from the charger and insert it into the
back of the tool. Make sure the marks on the battery pack and on the tool are
aligned. Push the battery pack into the tool until it snaps into place.
