Using the Bearing Separator
1. Mount the puller set, as shown. For mounting, see also
figure
B
.
2. Now take the flat head (15) for the cone rod and screw
the flat head on the push rod. Before using, oil the
push rod (6) and the flat head.
3. Place the wedge-shaped edges of the separators
behind the workpiece to be separated. After pulling
once, if necessary, retighten the separators by screw-
ing the bolts. Make sure the separators are firmly se-
cured.
4. Use a torque spanner and turn the push rod on the
workpiece to be separated. Remove the separated
workpiece.
Accessory
The connecting bolts 9 and 10 are for use with other bearings or gears. The
connecting bolts 9 and 10 do not fit the bearing separators (1 + 2) in this
pulling set.
Maintenance and Cleaning
After each use, store all parts of the puller set in the included box and keep
the thread of the push rod and the bracket always clean and well lubricated.
Protect the puller set from moisture.
