Step 3: Connect the First Computer

Connect a Mac

Use the following one-time procedure to connect your
Mac computer to the WD Sentinel server.

1. Click

Download software for Mac

The Mac Connector software downloads to your
Download directory.

Note:

To get to the Connector download screen,

you can also open a web browser and in the
address field, type

http://<IP address>/connect

Example http://192.168.1.12/connect. The LCD of
the WD Sentinel server displays the WD Sentinel
name and IP address.

2. Click the

Download

icon on the Menu bar at the

bottom of the screen:

3. Select

MacConnector.dmg

. The MacConnector

window opens.

4. Double-click

MacConnector

5. Review the warning screen, then click

Open

Note:

If prompted to do so, type the user name and

password of an account that has administrator
permissions on this client computer.
