6 Installing scale out kits
Scaling out an ActiveScale P100 increases storage and networking capacity by adding either one or two
new base systems that each contain a new pair of System Interconnects, three system nodes, and six
storage nodes. The System Interconnects of the primary system can be connected to the System
Interconnects of up to two additional ActiveScale P100 systems, with each ActiveScale P100 system per
location, supporting up to two scale up kits.
