Neonatal Transilluminator

Model 48210
The optional neonatal Light Pipe/transilluminator is used to 
assist in the diagnosis of pneumothorax, to locate blood 
vessels, etc. This transilluminator incorporates a 
permanently attached ultraviolet filter that minimizes the 
transmission of ultraviolet light. This prevents skin 
temperatures from rising in excess of 39°F (4°C) when in 
contact with the skin for five minutes or longer. The 
standard light pipe should 

NOT

 be used for 

transillumination of neonates.
